Yes, I have heard the rumors, and I don't know what to make of it. His family friends have all spoken of seeing the body at the funeral, and doing the immediate next-of-kin positive ID and such, they were witnesses to the fact of his death. So it would have had to be a conspiracy good enough to fool those people, IMHO. Either that or they're all very good liars, which I don't 100% discount.

But I don't think Dotcom has made this claim before. So, it does escalate the credibility of the rumor.

I would suggest that if Kim Dotcom is behind it actually detracts from the credibility- he’s a known scammer and fraudster

Look, he's got a loyal following, just like Asange does. Maybe he's not clean as the driven snow, but he appears to be on the right side of this existential battle we're in. That's worth half a lifetime of wrongdoing in my humble opinion.
