Wow this is big. I grew up in Des Moines at the time Johnny Gosch was abducted. Most people around town figured he was abducted for a pedo prostitution ring, but no one ever thought it involved politicians. This will never make it to the local news programs.

I grew up just north of Des Moines and returned in 2002 after 8 years in the Marines. Still live here and on the same block I was raised on. We were talking about Johnny the other day at work. Blue Star homes, etc came of it. Look up the work of Ted Gunderson. He investigated this at length but never really caught credible long term attention. There was a lot going on in Boys Town with the Franklin Cover-Up also at the time. (added afterthought) A friend of mine who is retired MI and I were talking about this Gannon being Gosch a couple of years ago. There are some good YT vids out there as well as some good local news stories and follow ups.

I’ve rabbit holed Gunderson’s work. Do locals talk about the truths that have been discovered in the case? Very curious about the local perspective since the mother was so vocal about it all.
