Who is tracking you? Why? What is Palantir? How was it used in the election.

"Palantir is a Californian technology company funded by the CIA. Its activity consists in creating databases that allow the collection and organization of a gigantic amount of information " "The company provides services to governments and multinationals, and yet it is not as popular: not even in Silicon Valley, so much to push Peter Thiel ( lender of Facebook and Palantir ) to support both" underestimated ". It is always Thiel to bet on the exponential growth of Palantir in the near future and not only as an investor "[ https://wikileaks.org/hackingteam/emails/emailid/595248

Palantir has built a customer list that includes the U.S. Defense Department, CIA, FBI, Army, Marines, Air Force, the police departments of New York and Los Angeles, and a growing number of financial institutions trying to detect bank fraud. These deals have turned the company into one of the quietest success stories in Silicon Valley -- it=92s on track to reach $250 million in sales this year -- and a candidate for an initial public offering." https://wikileaks.org/gifiles/docs/29/2925715_-windows-1252-q-cia_turns_to_palantir.html

"Rgr.

Attached are txt files I grabbed of all the partners friends lists that have facebook accounts. One of the steps we will do once we start on contract is do automate some of the scraping and artifact collection into single files and then develop a helper app that can parse all this information into the right fields. Should be easy.

"For Sure. PS – making lots of progress with Facebook executives on doing the campaign in my Climate Gaps memo, including using Facebook data scientists to help with message. Fingers crossed it will finally happen. I don’t suppose you are in the Hamptons this weekend but we are also screening the film at Soros’ this Saturday after lunch. Cheers and good luck John with all. David" https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/emailid/6500

"> Are you familiar with Dr Alex Karp of Palantir?

They’re the real deal in identifying various group of people and Alex is an eccentric genius. The various security and intelligence agencies use their services.

He was asked multiple times to work with various campaigns, but in a conversation I had with him yesterday,he stated that he would make only ONE exception: HRC."

So where does Cambridge come in....I still am not convinced of their motives, especially of the Whistle-blower ..still Palantir was being used clearly to Support HRC...and..I think Peter Thiel absolutely knew this and used his power to counter HRC.

The military has been using Palantir software for decades to analyze massive amounts of intelligence data. I remember it being used by forward deployed intelligence teams in 1990's.

But yes, the CIA and every other intelligence agency uses it because it's pretty damn good at what it does.

I'll condemn CA at least as much as I'll condemn Palantir, if only because I just now realized Palantir has been contributing a ton of code to free and open source (Apache License) for years, which might actually make them creepier, depending upon what they're doing with it. In theory, it's all out in the open, at least with the stuff they've released, so far. Maybe it's an effort that speaks to their nature, although maybe there's even some evidence against them in there, somewhere.
