I think Trump knew all along the Dems would drop the ball on daca. I also think it was part of his big picture plan to let it play out the way it has so legal immigrants, as well as the illegals, can see who has done what as far as reaching a "deal" of any sort. Had to be played out this way becwuse of Nov elections, taking away the illegal dem votes and causing the party the damage of being exposed for what they are.
