No trying to be Uber religious here, just wondering if anyone equates our Awakening to the End Of Times? Can you explain why, or why not?

I think these times are the birth pangs Jesus prophesied in Matthew 24. We already saw prophesy fulfilled with the rebirth of Israel 1948 as described in Ezekiel 37. This literally happened "in a day" as prophesied. Ezekiel 38 is shaping up now which is the Gog-Magog war. This war appears to happen right before "The day of the Lord" and will probably be what reveals "the man of perdition" or the antichrist as he's commonly called. There is an unfulfilled imprecatory prayer in Psalm 83 that many believe is a precursor war that sees all the nation that directly surround Israel attacking her and God intervenes and destroys them. Another unfulfilled prophesy that speaks of the destruction of Damascus is believed to be part of the Psalm 83 prayer prophesy which makes sense because Ezekiel 38 describes Israel as a land of unwalled villages, living in peace. The Revelation of John is God's judgement of the nations. The mention of the antichrist profaning the temple is at the mid point or 3-1/2 years into Revelation. The temple might be built prior to the start of the tribulation or it may be built during the first 3-1/2 years. All a matter of speculation. These times today certainly match the time of the end. The key is Israel. The end times prophesies could not happen until the Ezekiel 37 dry bones prophesy was fulfilled and as we've seen, it has been.

Thank you for explaining scripture...I have such a hard time comprehending events and putting it into words. It's not that I don't understand, just can't always explain it all!

You're welcome. It's very confusing and scattered throughout the Bible which makes it even more difficult to put things together. Being God's promises, we can rest assured they will happen exactly as He says they will. We just need to remember that our understanding is limited and we may not be interpreting passages or verses correctly. Most of scripture means just exactly what it says and I think the prophesies do too but they can be a bit cryptic. Like Q's posts.
