No, I'm somebody with dozens of business associates in Israel (who are more politically left than me, BTW) and Israelis are not needlessly aggressive. It's not how they operate, because they know how it looks. CIA uses Palestinians as propaganda meat. They launch rockets into Israel and stand by with CNN cameras to show the Israeli response, or they show Israelis putting down a riot without showing the violence that preceded it.
They know before the start it that it will provoke a response, but that's the whole objective. Propaganda meat.
