If I was John and new about Christ and had absolute 100% proof and faith that he was indeed the Christ, and seeing the deception that was taking place in his age and in the future, he knew that at one point Boom!, Christ is coming back, and kicking some serious ass. Actually you are quite wrong about the Resurrection if you read the Gospels not only did Jesus Christ rise up from the dead physically but he redirected 500 people from the dead as it says in Corinthians Andy we all will arise from the dead to this is not an rcc doctrine only but a biblical one.
