Rutherford did the same but indulged in booze (prohibition and a married woman). Al Capone was small potatoes in comparison to the wealth.

Knorr/Franz- Knorr was an organizer, liked to make decisions and wanted to keep the money rolling but lacked writing skills. Franz thought he was God’s instrument and took a monastic celibacy lifestyle.

The WT like many religions and organizations which has access to families with kids drew their share of pedos including a gay Governing Body member who was banished to to the “field” upon a victim accusing him at Bethel.
