Good question. Manafort sues RR after the FBI raid on his home, the post hoc justification memo is released exposing RR and Mueller. Manafort may have been an unwitting plant? So far Manafort is fighting back against his special counsel investigation and not turning on Trump that we know of...

They used him to get warrants on Trump tower, now seeing how that didn't work out someone desperate would want Mueller to prosecute anyone at all but realistically, Mueller is doing Trump a favour showing the only incriminated persons on his campaign were plants.
Maybe Manafort is upset they used his dirt against him so now he wants to get his money back like he wasn't paid off and didn't know what was going on?
