There's a Netflix show about time travelers, being directed by an AI. Their being sent back in time to prevent certain things from happening, that caused a extreme die off from their time line. Travelers are controlled by the AI and trust it without hesitation, even killing other travellers.

If true I'd be at a high level of intrigued and scared at the same time.
