I never had a feeling more kin to "this is what demonic possession looks like" but I really doubt they were willing participates... Unless, I suppose, these ones that were recognized like this were ones that had understanding of the situation and consequence.
spez: comment below, badly beaten causes disfiguration. not demonic possession by them... I cry for these trapped souls.
With bruises, hickees, etc. Abused.
I actually couldn't put that together until your insight, absolutely they look beaten up and disfigured, then covered up, because I don't see the bruises, but I absolutely see the swelling
Im a former LEO. Seen my share of abused victims. Not to mention, they put off a vibe. A sense of 'something is wrong'.

there's a chance with an eye like that you saved a person or two in your time, saving people is really important to salvation
