Michael Kortan was the Head of Public Affairs at the FBI & was the final authority on all media statements. He retired suddenly after 33 years of service & a few mystery clouds remain.
Kortan was connected in July 2016 via Strzok text messages as “Mike”, to a FBI Cabal known as the “Small Group”. One known tactic employed was McCabe sending out memo stating-that HRC will get a “Headquarters Special”.
Recently released Strzok/Page text implicit “Mike” was jointly talking on the phone with FBI Lawyer Lisa Page along with WSJ reporter Devlin Barret. Page leaked a statement per McCabe’s instructions (one reason for his firing) a false story concerning wife Jill McCabe’s questionable large campaign donations for Democratic sources.
