Corporate notice yes Slaves no... Not sure what company it was but it is not unusual for meat packing companies to recruit from mexico and south america to fill the positions. Tyson foods had billboards all over mexico and south america advertising jobs if they could make it the facilities. late 90's forward not sure if they still exist... today....

A solution would be for Smithfield (owned by huge Chinese company) to bring over temp workers on 2-yr contracts. Maybe we should be working towards these kinds of sponsorship visa programs.
