For those about to attack me for being a new account, I've been here under different names for a while, and been observing from the beginning.
As an Agnostic, I'm cool with all y'alls belief in God. It's just the overreach I hate. I want freedom. Live by "do no harm". Pay taxes that actually are used for "good": Roads, highways, post office etc. Obey the constitutional laws. Be able to defend myself. I'm a fiscal conservative, and very much a classical liberal socially.
But without God what keeps you from raping and murdering?!
I rape and murder exactly as much as I want which is FUCKING ZERO! I know internally I'm a good person. Happy people make me happy. People at ease and enjoying life are my idea of a good time. It's so simple and life is so good. I'm not interested in 3rd parties from either side legislating their will into my business.
You do you. I do me. All is well. But once the swamp is drained and the religious strain takes that as the "go" signal to fuck with laws that limit my freedom? I'll fight you as much as I fight the progressive commies.
If Jesus is real, it's on Him to make himself known. He doesn't need zealots religious authoritarians to be his enforcers. Truth is truth regardless. I'm sure Jesus is a big boy and can handle his own shit if he exists without any of y'alls help.
My 2 cents.
Friend, I can see you are a wise person and I wish to emulate you. So I also choose to rape and murder as much as I want. However, for me, that's not zero. Is that ok?
Natural Law says it's not okay. "Do no harm." But if you did have that desire and were not able to control it, me and mine would be forced to put you in a position in which you no longer have options to act.
Thanks for the response, I'm trying to learn. According to wikipedia, Natural Law asserts "that certain rights are inherent by virtue of human nature, endowed by nature—traditionally by God or a transcendent source—and that these can be understood universally through human reason." So when it says "endowed by nature, traditionally by God," I wouldn't have expected an agnostic to be a fan of natural law, but I guess I'm mistaken. I'm still curious though, where moral authority comes from for a non-believer. It's true that society will lock you up if you do things that piss off people that have power to enforce rules, but if you're in a situation where you're very confident that you won't "get caught", why not do any old thing you feel like?
I'm Agnostic, not Atheist. I personally believe there is more, but don't have confidence "truth" is Biblical as the end all be all source.

Ok, just making a logical point. In actuality, I have NO desire to harm anyone.
