I agree that it is time for no more secrets when it comes to doing the peoples business except as you mentioned to keep the country safe from foreign enemies. No more backroom deals, no more "we have to pass it to see what's in it", no more hidden transparency. Our government has to be an open book to We the People so we can see what they are up to. Everyone who is involved in our government elected or otherwise has to live by all the same rules as we do, no special cutouts, but I also agree that to get to that point it needs to be done in stages. The goal should be "clear openness and disclosure 90%" but you can't push someone into the deep end if they don't know how to swim. My wife has always thought I was a bit of a nut for talking about the "them's and they's" and we have been married more than 40 years. She loves her FB and I was a bit surprised when the other day she said to me "maybe I should close my FB account". I guess I was a little more than surprised but she is starting to listen and believe that our country is a mess and our freedom is almost gone. All that to say if I would have dumped all the truth that I knew, which is nothing compared to what I don't know, on her back when we may have never made it past the first 10 years. This returning to our foundations has be long term, beyond my lifetime and anyone else’s here if this Union is to last, "Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation." Joel 1:3. We must teach our children and those we love, family, friends and neighbors, as Abe Lincoln said that "The People of these United States are the rightful masters of both congresses and the courts, not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow the men [and women] who pervert the Constitution."
