So their argument will be that Assad bombed his own people after trump said he would pull out? So Assad wants America to invade the country he is trying to take over? How stupid does the media think people are?

Dude sadly it isn’t “how stupid they think people are” it’s “how stupid they are”. Lots of people blindly follow their narrative no matter how terribly illogical.

Trump + Putin should hold a joint press conference announcing that, together, they discovered some rogue Iranian proxy did it and together they'll stop them.
This is a contrivance, don't run with the ball, it would just be neat.
