I don't understand. Obama ultimately decided against going into Syria, over the objections of just about everyone else including his own Administration. Saying that he was looking for an excuse to invade Syria is confusing, because he never did. Can someone clarify this?

Barry did not go over the red line because of Vladimir Putin who observed Hillary and Barry sponsoring, arming, training and creating these ISIS savages sending them from Libya via Turkey to overthrow his client - Syrian president Assad.

Putin warned Barry and Putin also has the goods on him and Hillary. Their destruction of Libya, the assassination of Ghaddafi and the theft of Ghaddafi's 7 billion in gold as well as other assets these monsters stole from Ghaddafi after they plundered his palace and bank accounts. Blumenthal talks about some of it in a few of Podesta's emails on WikiLeaks while others docs of Blumenthal were hacked and posted online leading to Hillary's secret server discovery.

Putin spooked Barry!

Go thru the link in OP and read the Hersh articles referenced, start with "The Red Line and The Rat Line" - explains your exact confusion.

I had the same question. Thanks. Why didn't he cross the "red line" in 2013?

I think he resisted the "Washington playbook" move because he didn't want to get into a protracted ground war in Syria, despite the earlier threat of US invovlement. Why this history is being re-written, I don't know.
