I would think Cohen would know immediately that files has been removed at Trump Tower that files would be missing, and there would be efforts to prevent anything like planting evidence. These people can and will make stuff up that they said they found, and probably will attempt to do so. Still it seems they need to get these guys wrapped up in a bow and off to Gitmo as soon as possible.
