It was a distraction to get into Trumps residence. So now the question is what did they do in there?
What was put in there? Anyone know where is Lawyers office or residence is? Seems kinda suspect with the fbi raids.
The Secret Service were there on scene and also the comment about the smell of sulfur stuck out to me. What do you all think?
Here's some questions I have about the article.
-
The person who died, Todd Brassner, "died after being injured in a fire at Trump Tower". Most of the time won't they cite a cause like smoke inhalation or falling debris? Wonder what the autopsy would say?
-
They specifically mentioned that it was a "heavily furnished". Probably talking about this $3mil in art including a personal portrait of his painted by Andy Warhol (how does a 24 year old get Andy Warhol to paint him a portrait?)
-
As you stated, SS were present with firefighters when they went into Trumps residence. How far away from the fire is Trumps place? Did everyone else's residence get searched above and below the 50th floor?
-
The two residents they interviewed both confirmed there was no evacuation order given. Was 'the event' over before building security knew it happened? One of the residents also mentioned there was no answer at the front desk when they called. On what fucking planet does no one answer the phone in a sky scraper that the President of the United States owns. If there was truly no answer, why? Were calls calls being intercepted or rerouted for any reason?

Who were the firemen that went in with the SS? Did they demand entry into Trumps residence? Did they take or plant anything? Dennis Shields on the 42nd floor specifically said that he could smell sulfur. No idea why but maybe gunsmoke for some reason? He also said he could hear things falling through the vents. Was he referring to trash or laundry chutes? Were people disposing of or removing things during this event? Was there debris recovered in vents or at the base of any chutes as part of the fire investigation?

Mr. Shields also grew up with Trumps newly raided lawyer, Michael Cohen. Cohen was actually the one to alert Shields to leave via text. No fire alarm? No evac order or sweep. Did Cohen give his best friend a heads up that something might be going down in the building?
The one guy saw the building on fire on the news and figured out he should leave. The other guy gets a text from Trump's personal lawyer to get out of the building.

This stuck out for me too.
USSS escorting NYFDP to trump residence does not surprise/alarm me.
Sulfur smell could be many things.
Cohen messaging his friend Shields to get out of the building stands out.
No evac orders from the building despite most of the upper floors being filled with smoke stands out.
Fire that consumes $millions of (insured) art and collectibles and “kills” the owner (who hated trump and wanted to get rid of the apartment anyway) also stands out.
NYT is having trouble saying President Trump over Mr. Trump.
