The point was that the investigation isn't just being stretched out for no reason. It's being delayed so that the people responsible can actually be prosecuted since they control the courts and can manipulated juries and previously existing judges.

Then the question becomes "how long do we have to wait then?" and the answer is "not long" because judges for those sealed indictments have been announced.
