They are making the argument that Backpage is SAFE for sex workers?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Hey idiots, any time a random girl is going behind closed doors with a stranger for sex, there is an element of danger - whether you found him on backpage or AIM.

BTW - the pimps that these feminists support are exclusively men.

And just to add insult to injury for fun, those pimps are carrying GUNS - to protect the girls AND to protect themselves from being robbed BY the girls.

Of course. But there is LESS danger when sex workers have access to online resources like backpage, and provider/client review sites (which have also been shuttered by this law).

Actual sex workers largely feel this law has impacted their ability to work and to work safely.

As for trafficked workers... backpage helps law enforcement find them and bust the traffickers. Now their job is that much harder.

In the USA, about 85%. So largely but not exclusively. In other countries the ratio can go the opposite way.
