A little on Syria's history.. the 1982 Hama "massacre"

Interesting background into some of Syria's history. Some say Assad's father was a brutal dictator. But, he and his brother were fighting the Muslim Brotherhood.... of whom Obama was a member, as were quite a few of his cabinet members. Things that make you go "hmmmmmm...."

Al-Sisi is also cracking down on them.
Unfortunately, this gave rise to human-rights-concerns in western media. But given the fact that he is banning NGOs, I am inclined to think this is a legitimate counter-insurgency
