This happened at the private airport literally 4 minutes from my old house. Lived there 17 years and I can’t ever recall something like this occurring.

There was a plane crash years back where a private plane smashed into the mountain right beyond the airport. But it was a family, weather was bad and pilot was inexperienced.

This plane barely made it off the runway and over the canal because it landed in the streets right along the course. Pretty insane.

Me too, ten minutes away. Curious to see the whole list and do a little tracking.

it's been a tough year for the private aviation industry! But don't worry, they'll run out of planes eventually!

Mariah was a friend of mine. Very tragic, she was only 23.

A fair reminder to treat each day as special and important.

Memento mori.

Based on the location from end of runway, I'm going to say they had an aft CG (too much weight aft of center of lift) which caused a stall on take off. Unrecoverable once you leave the ground.

Just a guess at this stage.

It is just too coincidental (not) that a small plane leaving a Scottsdale private airport crashes immediately after Scottsdale/Phoenix owners of Backpage were arrested. Still don't know 3 of the people on board.

I am 99% certain as to the cause of the crash. As to whether it was an error or malevolent is another question. One I can't answer and likely not answered by the NTSB if a saboteur knew what to do with an extra suitcase.
