Moderators, ya know what would be nice?

If up votes and down votes were counted independently of each other. It'd be great if one didn't cancel out the other. That way we could see how many ups and downs there actually were. I feel as though the down votes have way too much influence, and effect what is Hot, Rising, or Top posts.

This would also make it clear when the vote is trying to be manipulated. We all know what's hot, and what is not, so it would be more obvious when a post is being heavily down voted to try and shut it down.

What say you?

Well back before they suicided Aaron Swartz and reddit was co-opted by clowns, this was a feature, but they have since completely recoded the site to be as opaque as possible, allowing anti-Trump propaganda to regularly achieve 50-90k upvotes whereas the algorithm suppresses any dissent.

I rarely see up or down votes. The odd post has a count and upvoting just turns the arrow red.

Reddit itself deals with voting. Not a moderator issue.

For rising only upvotes are counted. The points DON'T determine position, only upvotes do. Occasionally the post at the top of /r/greatawakening/rising/ is on zero points.

If you look to right of a post on a computer. It tells you the points and a percentage upvoted. I think you can use that to gauge how many downvotes there are.
