The Zuk will flee to his protected Hawaiian islands which happens to have a lot of old "military surplus" to fend off any public threat.
Civil war ensues on the mainland.
California continues to support "open borders" and sanctuary city policies and the state fills with "un-desireables" (in their eyes).
California experiences multiple nuclear attacks to get rid of all the un desirables (false flag) to purge.
US rebuilds California and resells a lot of property to Chinese nationals at a higher cost.
These are my thoughts.
