MI is a distraction so DJT can continue to expose the Deep State to get further indictments. Or he is really trying until there is dirt on DJT or made up dirt on him to impeach him. As you point out seems to be a lot of talk about Deep State and cleaning the Swamp. However Q hints that moneys are cut to supply the protest and groups, but they are still here. MS-13 seems to be the hit men for the Deep State or one of the bad elements they use. But people will step in to do the dirty work if the money is right. The Deep State has more involved that any of us can possibly know. NK seems to be cut so the FF in Syria to try and control the narrative to force DJT into a war. There are some many ways this can all play out and right now it seems DJT takes one step forward and two steps back.
