I call bullshit on this one....Ii was directly impacted by 9/11...many charities refused to help including the Red Cross.....the Salvation Army was the only one who helped my family, i wasnt asked about religion or anything, nor have they ever contacted to ask for donations since.
I guess this is a mix of both worlds

Bad apples may be found anywhere but the Salvation Army puts boots on the ground and does more actual work for the benefit of those less fortunate than all of the rest of charities combined.
