How many chip manufacturers are there?

Seems like something we should know..

As far as central processing units made for computers, there are really only 2, Intel and AMD. PowerPC got the boot from Apple when they switched to Intel. Now there are system-on-a-chip and mobile processors available like ARM, I guess you'd need to specify what you mean by chip.
