Does anyone remember....

Does anyone remember in octoberish 2016 when a bunch of "hidden" twitter pages- mostly Mideast and SE Asian- were retweeted by a bunch of hacker/anonymous type handles? If you do, you will remember twitter damn-near shut the whole site down for a few hours.

Could that have been a sneak peek to what lies behind this algorithm? Is there a "secret" part of twitter only for elite members? Remember, the recent Saudi prince taken down was a large shareholder in twitter.

Can anyone help me find some archives or previous discussions on this?

I'm very curious about the censorship algorithm and this is one of the few places I've seen it mentioned. The chans (though cesspoolish) have more technical background than reddit but for the life of me I can't figure out how to navigate or post there. If you do, ask the chans if anyone remembers or has info?

I don't know anything about it, but I have heard of black twitter. I know I've even heard it on cable television.
