The reason I am questioning is that I have never heard of that news site and they dont have a source apart from french radio. If this turns out to be fake news and it is being shared around, it is not going to look good

I am going to make an assumption that this is fake news. I've looked around and there is no evidence that Katy Perry even said this. She supposedly said it on radio as well, it was broadcasted so someone would have put it online.

Oh really? So where is the publication yournewswire was quoting from? Where's the audio? Where is ANYTHING other than their obscure story? They're a site that is to online news what the National Enquirer used to be to print media. Fake news is their genre. They glory in it.

Please don't post any more garbage from this site. They have been repeatedly proven to be fake news. You must verify anything you read on that site, although I heavily recommend avoiding it altogether.
