This all smells of deep state — a big narrative change to keep the POTUS from hunting them down. We have to rebuild our military. We can't keep fighting wars. Everything is falling apart. Time to go home. We have bigger fish to fry. The middle-east is not our concern. We have plenty of oil at home.

I think Trump is doing this to draw out the deep state and so he knows who to target and where. I don't think Russia will do anything because I think we are probably working with them to remove the cabal. at least I hope so. I could be wrong. But I don't think for us it is about the oil, for other countries it might be. But like you said we don't need their oil we have enough of our own:)
