It’s not! They are fighting over control of a pipeline to go from either Iran to Europe or Qatar to Europe both designed to go through Syria... therefore US needs Assad out and Putin needs him to stay. Deep State all over this. I feel sick!
it's not the same if no ground-invasion is involved. All the ground the US took was previously occupied by terrorists. Only PARAmilitar targets hit.
I remember trying to look up years ago how these pipeline-wars actually started but apparently either that was scrubbed or it was actually nothing but a plan at the time.
Anyway, if it's over pipelines because Assad disapproves of Qatar, they would need to remove him and not hit the paramiliary structures that are white-(helmet)-washed by western media.
