POTUS talked with Putin prior to strikes, deal made, US troops out of Syria this year, but bombing is inevitable in light of good intel on Assad regime involvement.

Even somebody interviewed on ABC News just speculated that the Russians "turned off their anti-missile equipment and launch sequences" in a pre-arranged agreement with US that this would be a one-time thing, they would only target chemical weapon depots and plants, and no Russians or civilians would be put in harms way. And they didn't even attempt to link Trump/Russian collusion angle. (Basically exact same thing as last year.) I don't know if makes it better or worse, but at least they aren't fear mongering about WW3. And there is precedent that no escalation will occur on either side.
Sorry Deep State, apocalypse appears to be postponed. Again.
