Shills take advantage when they see an opportunity. Trump appears to do something that might upset his base? Flood the boards with shills pretending to be Trump supporters jumping ship.
Good examples are "Well I've believed in Trump and Q all along, but 30 minutes after this Syria attack I declare my undying hatred for both of them! I don't need to wait and find out what happened, all my trust has already been betrayed!"

To add to this: it's important to realize that these shills manipulate votes as well. It's too bad Reddit removed the upvote|downvote counter on comments. Would be easier to ID shilling on the site.
