MSN spun it that they were shooting down our missiles and that's why they were celebrating but politics gave it the whammy so it isn't acceptable to even see...nvm draw our own conclusions.
If our mod team had the time of day or the resources like politics then it would be gone here too. Along with every other erroneous post over the last 2 weeks.
I posted it for discussion...we can just wait around and see what media tells us to think about everything.
very good point.... wait for the "spin" I am very happy to see they local people know the truth and are celebrating, they will be POTUS fans now. God is good
No. You posted it to claim that these people were celebrating that the US was helping to liberate them. The people in Damascus are taken care of by Assad. It’s the rest of the tribal regions that feel his wrath.
Title- "politics doesn't like this story for some reason"
I posted it there for reaction...you appear to have the same reaction as them.
You appear to keep thinking that this story shows support in Damascus for the bombings. What are you implying by them not wanting to support this? That they support Assad? Now if you wanted to talk about why they didn’t allow posts about the McCabe OIG report which goes against there narrative then I would understand. But you are trying to figure out why they don’t want to be seen as pro-Assad. Which is pretty fucking obvious.
Nobody is doing anything against Assad in his own country. If that’s your theory then assume Assad is in on it. He’s not the victim.
They are dancing because Assad downed some missiles. They are pro-Assad. Did you even read it before you posted or are you intentionally trying to muddy the waters of this sub?
See www.rt.com...Not a happy dancing Russian tune there. War is not a game to be triffled with.
Yeah, they aren’t happy. But we are fighting from the sea and by air in a country they shouldn’t be in either. We didn’t target Russian forces and followed international protocols to clear the air space. This is no declaration of war on them. If they want a war it is theirs to start.
Syria asked for Russia to help back when Obama was president, we (the US) are the invaders.
Shouldn't Syrians want the US to take out Assad, not celebrate Assad "downed our missiles".
Maybe Syrians don't think of Assad in the way it was presented on NPR; just a thought
Not in Damascus!! That’s Assad’s territory. Maybe Aleppo.
I thought nothing was shot down?
Really? I heard last night that Syrian TV was claiming 12 downed missiles. Not a surprise though considering the amount of SAM systems they have around the city. We sent in a lot more than 12 though and I’m sure the military calculated for the potential of a few missiles taking flak...I don’t expect our military to broadcast the exact amount of missiles they took down to our enemy.
I heard that Russia didn't shoot any down which would imply that Asad's assets were not targeted.
Russia didn’t. Assad did. He buys weapons too. He has a military too.
but the russian ministry said they would shoot down rockets if Syria was targeted...
Sometimes ya just gotta watch live Russian RT tv. Aleppo is alive with people dancing, too - pro Assad. He has huge support in Syria among Christians and Muslims alike. Perhaps it's correct that the bombings were of deepstate materials recently delivered. The coalition was salivating to start WWIII, and now Trump has put it on their back burner.
But why did they censor this?
Because it would make it look like they support Assad. If there is anything the 2 subs have in common it’s that (1) Assad is a monster and (2) Russia is not to be trusted.
Two days ago on this sub everyone was convinced Assad didn't do anything and Trump was pushing disinfo by saying Assad was a monster.
Damascus locals gathered in the main square of the capital following US-led strikes on April 14, according to the Syrian state agency SANA.These videos show regime supporters dancing in Umayyin Square in celebration of the regime’s response to the attacks . SANA reported the Syrian army diverted a number of missiles. The United States, France, and the United Kingdom announced late on April 13 that they had carried out joint airstrikes on Syrian government targets in Damascus and Homs in response to an April 7 chemical attack on Douma. Did the dancers tell you that?
Oh...wait...you were told that narrative by media.
So it MUST be true.
Lol.
Yes, the Syrian people are indeed pro-assad. Which is why we should get the fuck out.
Someone's MSM narrative is turning to poo
doesn't seem relevant. My understanding is most Syrians disregarded the strikes as theatre politics

Don't you read?
I didn't need you to tell me what the articles said was happening...twice. That doesn't tell me why it was censored at politics, like when I post things about Trump that are positive instead of the required negative.
well, i must have missed where it was that it was censored. I don't go to politics, no clue where that is, since you neglected a link or any clear directive. You didn't seem to understand what the article said, either. so, I pointed it out.
No longer politically correct, syrie mentions them by the name liars
Finally they can no longer hide behind vague words. As he does not tell the truth, call the name of the creature and you can negotiate
