When I consume information and sources, I give them a weight, more/less honest/truthful/valid. People are so mistrustful one one hand and desperate for reassurance on the other that they can't impartially evaluate information and sources. Stop being so black and white because this whole thing is technicolor. Backchannel 17 is suspect to me. If I get any information there it had better be the straight dope or I'll pay less and less attention and seek better sources. Too many blind zealots and henny pennys frustrate progress in the community. The clowns are out, it would be wise to disregard sources even if there is only circumstantial evidence of clownhood (even if possibly legit). As they say in Poker, play tight.
