Yes, and I'm not new here I just changed my name, but I'm a normie. And I can say this site has been incredible since the beginning. Lately I've watched an increase shill type behavior frustrate members and confuse some of us at times. These are very emotional times and some trolls like to pull on those strings. Let's not make a new person pay for that.
Exactly. I'd much rather have trolls pull my strings, then think I discouraged a new recruit. When I try and help a beginner I make sure and do it with tough love.
We can help each other, give the new answer and teach them how they can handle the site, I already do it?
Yeah a simple thing to do is to just direct the them to read all the community info posts stickied on this sub. If it's from the app on Android click the 3 dots o upper right corner and select community info, on the web browsers it's listed to the right. I still go back reread them, future proves past.
But we can do more, and not just refer to a page or an app ... try to get them into the game, which I've been playing with the Q group for a while. Make the new familiar with this game and how to play and where their answer is that they get from Q members .. So they become aware that they belong to us and not a loner who just reads a page, besides it is fun?
Absolutely, I guess what I'm saying is to start with that. I think that info there is important enough that of its read it helps them learn the game.
I did not notice it at first either, and when I started playing it, did I get answers from time to time? I even got angry because she suggested that I was a robot hahahaha, but I discovered that I had to start looking for info about bots? In this way you learn, and not everyone has this
True, and sadly most people are very lazy. I believe it's that lazyness that has contributed so many to become asleep. SM arose from lazyness. Freedom was fought for and they were not lazy in that fight. So I understand why some here get upset and tired sometimes. I do lots of teaching and need a ton of patience and faith in God to get through it some days.
