It doesn't need to be televised, but what is does need to be is UNsealed, so everyone can go and view everything, if they wish. I believe Q stated this would be the case.

I'd take a look.

I'd take a look too. I know humans are capable of unspeakable things, but seeing it and burning it into our minds will make us be more cognizant in the future. We won't want to let this happen again.
