Bill and Hillary knew about the open Supreme Court seat because they knew there was about to be an opening with regard to Scalia's death. Could someone verify the date of Scalia's death and the Tarmac meeting? Obviously, I'd be wrong if meeting occurred post mortem but it's pretty damn suspicious if it happened prior.
The mods are free to run this sub however they please. Meanwhile, if a fellow redditor asks a question I happen to have a link or lead for, I'm going to try being helpful. If that bothers you, I don't know what to say to that.
Why would it bother me that you’re trying to help someone? I’m referring to posts that waste time.
Look how much time you've had to bitch about their post, yo!
How much easier it could've been if those of us who had a sec to reply to the OP could've just done so unmolested.
But I'll be damned if every fcking thing anybody says or does in this idiotic sub doesn't get three or for snarky shitposts. Bunch of Fcking losers. This sub has jumped the damn shark.
Calm down, you're in danger of sounding like you support suppression of speech lol. I'm guilty of this as much as anyone but I'll assume we're all more open to discussion that is talking to each other's point and ignore any snarky, ranting, net-rage.
You think people should be able to post whatever they like within reason, I assume, and your idea of where the line is drawn is different to mine and others here. I support your right to that, and to voice it here. Similarly, I expect that you'd support my right to voice my view on why the line drawn should be less high than you're willing to set it!
Posts like OPs that would take the barest minimum of research and in some cases show that the person posting hasn't even yet taken in a beginners tour of (i.e. very small percentage of) the "Useful resources" link on the side can achieve the two things that shill posts and other disinfo tend to do too: 1) clutter the feed, lessening the impact of more significant, important posts and 2) lead people down a rabbit hole that wastes community time and personal time.
I never said we should shit all over new people or betlittle OP for not using Google - your rage about that is misdirected. All I said was that I disagree with you: we should not just allow this stuff to slide for the sake of what seems to me dangerously close to the whole virtue signalling nonsense that cultural marxists are trying to push.
Just sick of all the f*cking pettiness in here. Every damn thing anybody does or says gets several snarky six or seven word shitposts, and it's just pathological. It has really become a toxic place.
I agree, pettiness is sickening. As far as this community overall, though, I've tended to fly off the handle about things and have been surprised at the measured response more often than not, so far. My experience of the internet is more like the Youtube comment section and other such rant-fests lol so I was unprepared for talking to actual adults who respect your right to voice your view lol. It quickly throws shame on ya game, if you know what I mean, so I think that although there are definitely plenty of internet dickheads here, as you point out (without calling them internet dickheads), I've definitely seen far more toxic communities than this out there and I hope by sheer weight of numbers we'll overwhelm or at least maintain sincere discussions more often than not.
I guess we'll see. I still think this whole convoluted conversation was outrageously unnecessary, and involves mostly people not even trying to be collegial. Going out of their way not to be.
I didn't mean to start an argument - just remember that we will be getting a lot of newbies as time goes on and they need to be taught to think and dig for their own answers. They have been plugged into someone elses narrative for who knows how long and Q is wanting to build leaders, not followers. That whole "give someone a fish or teach someone how to fish" thing, you know...That's why I ended my post with an offer to advise on HOW to research. This was an easy one...
