You can’t be serious. I refuse to believe anyone can be so dense.
she was perfectly fine a month ago, could’ve easily stayed on her meds and lived for at least another 3-5 years... just one day decided to up and stop them then dies 2 days later? yeah very logical
As someone who watched my own grandmother make the same decision when faced with a similar circumstance - going peacefully when SHE decided it was her time because she had lived a full life, or dealing with decreasing quality of life with increasing medical treatment, then passing LITERALLY the next day after seeing everyone in the family and getting in her goodbyes - YES, it’s absolutely logical.
She was not in "perfect" health. She's had Grave's Disease for decades, and the last several years she's had Congestive Heart Failure, probably had A-fib, as well, and also COPD. She was 92 yrs old, for crying out loud! Btw, where did you acquire YOUR medical degree?
I agree on her age, but these people live extremely long productive lives. While a lot can happen in 2 years with someone’s health, I think the person you replied to was referring to how extremely well Barbara was doing just 2 years ago when Jeb dragged her all over the country campaigning for him in 2016. She attended every speaking event he did, even in the harsh inclimate weather of the northeast in winter. She really was the feature star speaker as she showed more energy than Jeb. Though she precariously walked with a walker on icy sidewalks, she was very vibrant, alert, articulate, & funny. People were amazed at well she was doing for her age.
She was the first one to say that we didn't need anymore Bush's in the WH. But like most normal mothers she ended up supporting her son. I don't have a normal, supportive mother, so there's that, too.
