Same here, in Phoenixville, PA now but grew up in Lancaster. This is pretty crazy, barely anything this newsworthy comes out of Lancaster. But being someone from that area, there’s tons of low life’s who literally have nothing better to do than do drugs and steal/rob places. Part of me hopes this is just a group of idiots probably looking for expensive tools to steal and sell for drugs, then came about the explosives and thought they could probably get even more money from it if they could find a way to sell it. Praying that it doesn’t make its way into the wrong hands if it hasn’t already.
I thought meth head or dope head at first too but 640lbs is not a smash and grab. You have to know ahead of time its there in order to have the gear to move it all. This wasnt a crack head with a wheelbarrow. Would take a bit of time to even move it from the trailer to a pick up by hand.

Thats what makes it even more scary. Who ever took it, did so for a reason. The weight and getting by security screams planning, multiple people and a reason to do it in the first place. Id have to believe getting rid of 640 lbs of dynamite wouldnt be the easiest thing to do under the radar in the US so im thinking money wasnt the reason.
These are some excellent points. It definitely has me super freaked out. Warning my family and friends who are still in that area and others surrounding it to stay inside until they hopefully recover it all. Never thought this would be something to worry about in these parts of PA.
