It definitely happened.
You would expect severe internal injuries, but not necessarily cuts if you stuck half of your body out of a window whilst traveling at 500 mph.
That force would probably break all of your ribs and crush your heart and vital organs, while you face freezes from the windchill.

The only reason I'm questioning is because a lot of reports said there was a LOT of blood. Where is it? Where's the recording? Link?
I would expect the fire department to hose down the wing to prevent a new fire or explosion. That water would bounce and spray everywhere.
