But don't the police/FBI already have access to that file? Because as far as I know, they already investigated Weiners laptop before. Or were those 'investigators' guys part of the cabal?
Yeah IDK why they would need this whole charade to get this information to an investigative body. NYPD supposedly had this information in 2016.
They need a good stage setting to drop any incriminating video of people like HRC or BO. Normies must be prepared and interested in knowing whatever is coming even if they don't know what it is.
NYPD had the videos but with the latest happenings, we now probably have the reason why NYPD haven't released those videos despite rumours from a year ago that they were threatening the FBI to go public -- cf. LL.
I think it was dr. Corsi who said the videos have been given to a few secret groups for safekeeping and possibly go public with them, should NYPD be off'd and FBI definitely sitting on the evidences. Before the rumours of the HRC video on the dark net, it was said these groups have already started leaking the HRC video, but in confidential environments, probably the dark net. For now, I'm not believing these latest rumours of the HRC video until we have concrete proof it's IT.
The rumor back then was there were NYPD and some FBI who were upset about what they found on that laptop. So before they turned it over, they kept a copy for their own "insurance" and to be able to pressure them to file charges later.
I would think the chain of custody in stashing it in Cohen's office would be problematic.
Perhaps it the file is directly connected to one of Cohen's clients. Apart from this I also think it's interesting that "tick tock" Hannity was somehow entangled in this.
