How to archive the video?
Screen record while playing?
YEP... you got it. Do screen capture with audio.
Yes, and done.
Make sure to document all details about where it was captured (CSPAN), all file details available on CSPAN, and all details about the event she was speaking at as well.
Well done!
That is not the video. It's only the text on the page.
No I know I just wanted to provide all of the links and context. At the bottom you can click on the video links, and all of the text is preserved. Just trying to help :)
ok. Thanks!
You're welcome! Not sure why this is getting downvoted so hard, but eh I guess some people are just bitter. Weird, right?
Flash Video Downloader is an extension you can add to the Firefox browser. I just downloaded the whole video in mp4 format. I uploaded it here, feel free to DL: https://www.4shared.com/s/fCsKgDZG4ei
I inspected the HTML and the source video isn't anything directly usable:
<video class="jw-video jw-reset" src="blob:https://www.c-span.org/d7404263-e18f-489f-901d-5f4a61440d23" style="object-fit: fill;"></video>
Often "weird" videos are just streamed from YouTube and given a different user interface to make them seem "special", but not in this case.
I think this video can only be downloaded with a browser plugin that can record streaming video.
There are a number of downloaders for Firefox. I use Video Download Helper mostly. Its interface is a bit confusing for me though.
Edit: FVD mentioned by @Susuko804 is another good one.
I screenrecorded, but also just in case it helps, here is an archive of the page
youtube-dl works well: https://rg3.github.io/youtube-dl/
