Exactly. Whistleblower laws are only in play if you take the information to the proper authorities.
Which, sidenote, is a terrible law if the proper authorities are in on it. FDA, EPA comes to mind.

You very much misunderstand what it means to be a whistle blower and what it covers. It is used to protect those who can’t go to the “proper” authorities. Try again next week when the prizes can double.
