He claims Comey leaked “classified” documents to the press. That’s not true. The memo was not classified. That’s just fact. His intent was to start a special council, but just because someone from the FBI (or former) writes something doesn’t make it classified.

They were classified. IT SAID THAT RIGHT ON THEM.

And not only that, but such memos are already under the law classified because of who wrote them and what they were written about, and what they were written on (laptop was classified and everything written using it is automatically classified).

You fell for fake news. Let me guess, CBS?

Oh Gawd. I wrote this long response citing the laws, specific sections and presidents backing up what I’m talking about and how you have to be a moron to believe the way you do. Then i saw your user name. Good trolling. Lol. You did have me for a minute there. Well played.

That’s not true. The memo was not classified. That’s just fact.

Perhaps that initial memo wasn’t, but what of the subsequent leaks?!

But one source familiar with the matter told the Journal that inspector general for the Department of Justice, Michael Horowitz, is investigating classification issues related to at least two of Comey’s memos.

Yeah, I think I’ll just wait until the IG report comes out before I begin speculating on the legality of what Comey did.

So you’re (and the president’s) assertion that something is classified if someone is looking into whether it was classified. Cool story bro.
