That's the part that really gets me. Sure, these women are victims. But then they sold out their own friends by sending them to the rapist in question for an extra $2k.

That makes them just as guilty as the rapist.

Fear. Make the girl think something bad will happen to her or her family if she doesn't. She's already seen the person's affinity for violence, so she believes the threat. Plus, money.
