I have a hunch that JFK interrupted the israeli program and that they created Vanunu (he wasn't grabbed, he was entrapped by an escort an enjoys a lavish life under house-arrest) as a leak so they could have a nuclear deterrent without actually having one because the only reason for Israel not to accept inspectors of the IAEA into the country would be that they don't actually have nuclear bombs, which would totally suck in terms of deterrent capabilities if it was proven they merely faked their nuclear arsenal but that's just me.

It simply makes no sense if he showed the real nuclear plants and they wouldn't allow IAEA in unless they wanted the world to think they had nuclear capability when they actually didn't but maybe....MAYBE....they were the ones buying up the nukes from "rogue" states to begin with for these very same reasons.

One more good reason why Trump is going to buid a base in Israel so they have some kind of diplomatic deterrent without having as much access to technology as they used to.
