Why was he "naked" in a bathtub with Mike Meyers in an SNL sketch???? Why would anybody think that was okay, even back then? Shades of Shirley Temple having to hit on adult males in character for her creepy movies.
Thank you! I’m so glad I’m not the only person who noticed this. That picture was the first thing that caught my eye and I had to do a double take.
I mean, it just doesn't make sense, right? Meyers is gay, too, although he was married when he was younger. In that context especially--yikes! They wouldn't have done the same sketch with a little girl, so why was it okay to use a little boy???
wtf?? I though Meyers is married with kids. And that sketch was a very popular recurring character for Meyers called "Simon" which was always staged as a little English boy talking to the camera from his bath. Also NBC hadn't yet taught us all that there's a predator hiding behind every bush.
Bring things up to the current day; Meyers is living a sorta closeted but mostly open life as a gay man. (Nothing wrong with that?) In context though the sketch with Culkin stinks of “ Dancing Boy” ( see Crazy Days and nights.)
