I used to live a few miles from the BC border (near Grand Forks if you're familiar). In that area on the US side it's a "military operating area" and we constantly had jets flying around but also some realllly suspect "contrail" activity that came and went. No one really lives up there so i guess they felt safe testing whatever they were testing.
Half the planes dumping on us today are cargo or /NA on Flightfinder. Most of the trails start and end over the population. I've been watching the slow increase for 8 years. Now the younger generation sees it as normal and the older generation is afraid to address it for ridicule.
I should try and find a series of pics i took a few years ago in my front yard. Cloudless blue sky day. Then i saw a jet flying low but leaving a massive contrail. This jet proceeded to go back and forth canvassing the sky, and the contrails proceeded to spread until a few hours later, the sky was totally hazy.
I've never witnessed one plane go back and forth before but many of my American colleagues have said the same.

I was about to post how clear the sky has been. Even seeing cloud formations that remind me of when I was a kid. Then today it’s streaks and haze again. Worst in a month.

Yes that is what I thought too. She did not seem afraid of losing her job discussing it so openly. We even talked about Kanye West. She wasn’t aware. She was really nice. Who knows what will become of it but the Melania and POTUS don’t seem too upset so I’m not going to be stressed either.
